Department of Land Affairs
Vutivi (together with two other service providers) have recently won a skills audit project with the Department of Land Affairs and mobilised in late January 2006. The overall objective of the project is to ensure that all employees of the Department of Land Affairs are equipped with the relevant skills and competencies required to carry out their designated mandates with optimal efficiency and effectiveness and aligned to the strategic objectives of the DLA. The specific objective of this project is to assess 4,000 employees across departments and levels against an assessment battery, identify skills gaps and recommend developmental interventions for performance improvement.
City Power
City Power has recently commissioned Vutivi (together with two other service providers) to embark on a skills audit of all their staff in order to support achievement of world class processes, procedures and programmes. The skills audit will result in competent employees to deliver outstanding results as well as improved skill and competency levels in support of business objectives.
Office of the Premier (Gauteng)
Coordinated the Premier Award for Service Excellence; an award that showcases excellence in service delivery.
The Mpumalanga Office of the Premier
The Mpumalanga Officer of the Premier has commissioned Vutivi (together with two other service providers) to conduct competency assessments of managers to get a complete repertoire of middle management capabilities.
Department of Provincial and local Government -Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG)
The dplg requested the provision of macro audit services for the municipal infrastructure grant (MIG). The scope of work was a blend of macro audit control and the project audit function by the MIG Unit to ensure that the organisation’s objectives were realized and that the actual performance tied in with the determined standards. The scope included evaluation and analysis of the possible impact and implications of deviations with the MIG programme management processes as well as investigation of variances that could not be addressed through the normal management functions and recommend appropriate management functions or guide possible solutions.
National Development Agency
Vutivi was appointed in August 2005 to develop the NDA’s strategic plan. To do this, it was necessary to conduct market research to inform the new strategy of the organisation. The recommended strategy was subsequently adopted by the Board.
Department of Agriculture
Vutivi was requested to facilitate the quarterly performance review of the Department. This was coupled with a review of the performance indicators and the means of verification. The recommendations made resulted in an effective and robust performance management framework.
Department of Public Works
The Department contracted Vutivi to review the sustainability of the Lambasi Community Agricultural Scheme. The recommendations made included the transfer of the project to the District
Council or complete closure.
Department of Justice and Constitutional Development
Vutivi was appointed to design and implement a Shared Services Model for the courts through a pilot in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The model was subsequently adopted and is being rolled out in a phased approach.
Independent Electoral Commission (IEC)
Vutivi was assigned to review and design the organisational structure of the financial administration component of the IEC. This component was previously outsourced to a third party. The recommendations made led to the back sourcing of the functions. This also saved costs to the organisation in the long-term.
